![]() ![]() He also cut in a thumb-shaped space that helps me very quickly remove and replace new transparencies. My teenage son took a small sheet of 3/4-inch foamcore board (I also frame artwork) and cut and carved it to accommodate a 120 transparency. Your negative holder will work, but transparencies are a little awkward. I ended up ordering a new one on ebay that wasn't obscenely pricey and has lasted nicely. The bulb is color corrected and the glass absorbs heat and has anti-Newton ring capability. For the light source find an old color enlarger head and turn it upside down. Thanks. As a professional service, I've copied, scanned and printed a lot of 120-format transparencies using a similar method. I'm not aware of a 120mm film and slide holder that could be used in conjunction with a flash unit.Īny recommendations for a better light box or illumination source? Then the problem with this particular light box. I tried using a notepad and placing the negative holder above that but the led matrix shows up in the copied picture with a large weird grainy effect. I think I have a satisfactory setup using a sturdy tripod. ![]() The negative rests about 1/8 inch above the lighted surface. I have a 120mm aftermarket negative holder that is designed to work with a scanner. I want to copy both 35mm and 120 medium formats negatives and slides. The unit I bought is the Porta-Trace / Gagne 11x18 led lightbox. I also want to use the light box to review and sort old slides. I have successfully used it to copy some negatives after locating a fairly evenly illuminated area on the surface. The illumination was horribly uneven including an ugly dark area. This week I received the light box I ordered. I have a Pentax 645z with the 120mm macro lens. I want to copy a lot of old pictures with my digital camera. ![]() There is very little profanity (from what I played), but it does show up. There's a good and a bad path, with the former bringing up good messages and morals about friendship and the such. The mystery that surrounds the game is smart, intriguing, and has a great pay-off if you're patient.Īnyways, if you're cautious about having your kids play this, I'll sum it up for you. The sound design, art style, writing, and characters are all brilliantly done. I'm really surprised how many radars this flew under. This is one of the best indies I’ve played with heartfelt and creepy story with positive messages of friendship and family importance. While the game has it’s mature moments, they are infrequent. Characters also swear infrequently and the player can choose to swear and I believe there is one “F bomb” dropped. One character is seen hung and soon after throwing themselves out of a window (you see her land and collapse, but no blood or gore is shown), a character is also seen drowning and other characters are often seen lifeless on the ground. While Common Sense says that violence is only discussed, there are some acts of violence seen. Some characters (and the player if they so chose) smoke cigarettes and drink bottles of beer. Characters sometimes make sexual references (mostly jokes or that “they did it”) Drugs are also sometimes discussed and one character says he has eaten brownies with some “magic” and offer it to you. There are some questionable moments though. ![]() The story is engaging and makes some very good characters. You can be a nice person or be a downright jerk, with characters reacting to your choices. Players control Alex and make dialogue and movement decisions. Oxenfree is a creepy sci fi drama with a heavy emphasis on dialogue. So to wrap it up, parents if you want to buy your kid this game please note that it is not for the faint of heart. The story it self is very sad and focuses mainly on character development and trying to keep your relationships intact with your friends. I wouldn’t necessarily call this game a horror game but more of an experience. The horror elements in the game are trying to cover up the story hidden within. Now that’s not the only thing that parents should be aware of, the story it self can be very confusing and hard to catch onto and that is a major part in a video game. There is almost no violence but there are a lot of scenes of suicide like hanging jumping off buildings and drowning. They also talk about sex but only in one scene. ![]() You are allowed to drink beer smoke and there are some scenes where the character talks about eating a “magical” brownie and if you don’t get the reference then they are referring to a weed brownie. I left Oxenfree feeling hollow and strained, emotionally spent yet excited to play again and uncover more of the mystery.Ok so Oxenfree is an amazing game but some of the content is not for children. It's a tale of coping with loss, broken relationships, and the inflexibility with which teenagers deal with sudden change, all layered under an alarming paranormal encounter. In GameSpot's Oxenfree review, Alexa Ray Corriea wrote, "Oxenfree is more than a ghost story with a Freaks and Geeks-like coating. Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will continue to build on what players loved so much about the original, with a new story that carries the essence of Oxenfree while offering an entry point into the franchise for those who haven't played the first game."Īll that said, you shouldn't skip out on Oxenfree-it remains an awesome game. "Their deep characters and incredible writing are iconic and we are excited to help bring players back into this world. ![]() "We are such huge fans of Oxenfree and Night School Studio's impact on the storytelling in games," MWM Interactive executive vice president Ethan Stearns said. ![]() A sentiment that publisher MWM Interactive seems to share. We're eager to welcome our players back while inviting newcomers to embark on an adventure with an entirely new cast of characters that retains the weird, heartfelt, and personalized experience of the original."īased on the trailer, it doesn't look like Oxenfree II will connect too heavily to the first game (and how could it, with how many different ways it can possibly end), so you'll likely be able to just jump into this game. "Oxenfree is such a special game to us, and it has been an incredible experience to revisit this world. "Words cannot begin to express how happy I am to finally talk about Oxenfree II: Lost Signals," Night School Studio co-founder and studio director Sean Krankel said. ![]() ![]() ![]() While you're still repaying your auto loan, your vehicle technically belongs to your lender.
